Michael Misuraca is passionate about inspiring hope in teachers and equipping them with the tools necessary to impact the next generation. A former high school teacher himself, he understands the increasing demands and challenges teachers face with ever-shifting dynamics in education and society. The knowledge and systems he imparts to educators from K-12 classrooms capitalize on positive outcomes of change while being able to address its negative impacts.

Michael’s core beliefs about students and education are evident throughout his trainings.  He knows that conflict is inevitable in every classroom, yet opportunities for growth can come from these difficult moments. Michael has had years of experience training staff, volunteer groups and individuals on proven ways to navigate conflict and bring resolution to seemingly impossible situations.  Connection with this young generation is vital — prioritizing the relational aspect of teaching creates an atmosphere that can increase achievement for every student.  As Madeline Hunter has said, “kids don’t care about what you know until they know how much you care!”   Michael has seen through experience that a foundational piece to achieving a positive climate in the classroom is the unconditional care for each and every student. Ultimately, behavior can be changed as teachers systematically teach the behaviors we expect in our classrooms.

Still, the challenges that face educators today are ever-increasing, and implementing the solutions needed to have a positive classroom climate and high-achieving students is no small accomplishment. But it is possible! Michael has faced the same challenges you are facing today, and though he struggled to find that balance early on in his teaching career, he effectively incorporated time-proven strategies shared with him from trusted professionals to generate a successful learning environment for his student.
